Electrical Safety Certificates

At CEC, we offer Periodic Inspection Reports/ Landlord Electrical Safety Certificate Conditions Reports (EICR) for rented properties.

We carry out the necessary electrical inspections and testing needed to comply with BS7671, the 17th edition of the IEE wiring regulations.

If you let a property in England, you must ensure that electrical equipment and the electrical system are safe for your tenants to use. By receiving an Electrical safety certificate, you can declare to any current or future residents that your property is safe to live in.

PORTABLE APPLIANCE TESTING (PAT’s)

It is recommended by many insurers to have Office and Shop owners get a PAT on their small appliances like kettles, toasters, microwave ovens, fridges etc to ensure their safety and avoid potential injuries through faults. Residential owners of multi occupation properties are also required to carry out PAT’s on their equipment. We at CEC Advise that owners get this PAT certificate together with the Electric Certificate initially and thereafter annually.
